So, those Tasty videos that come across Facebook? You know, the ones that tell you what you’re making for dinner that night? Yeah, those.
Well, my mother-in-law posted one a couple weeks ago and because I’m impatient, I didn’t watch the whole thing but I did get the just of it. Cauliflower, bacon and cheese. Enough said.
That’s what I threw together that night and my husband, who doesn’t even love cauliflower, told our 23-year-old son that he should never move out because who would leave this kind of cooking. They both LOVED it!
So, if you’re trying to get more vegetables in your kids’ diets, here’s one for you to try. The two pickiest people in my family love it and request it now. My daughter also made it at her home and it was a consensus – this dish is nearly perfect.
To save time, I sometimes cut up my head of cauliflower when I bring it home. I keep it in a Debbie Meyers Green Bag to keep it fresh. Also, I cook a pound of bacon at a time so if you have already done that, it’ll save you LOTS of time. Bacon is one of those things that’s always good to have already cooked in the refrigerator. It can be used on lots of things like salads, soups and … Cheesy Cauliflower Casserole.
No notes for this one. It’s pretty straight forward.
