Mid-Summer Garden Tour

The good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. Yeah, I’m not going to show you much of the ugly. I’d like to skip over that myself. The reality is that if you walk through my garden, you would view it much differently than I do.

I see all the things I haven’t done.
All the ways I failed.
Or, the seeds failed.
Or the soil isn’t rich enough.

Hopefully, visitors see the coneflower in bloom, the mint tea with its lovely fuzzy flowers and Traveler, following me around like my puppy.

I took a few minutes at “magic hour” to photograph the gardens after a storm. The plants were dripping with fresh water and the sun was shining gloriously orange. I decided to not edit any of the photos, one, for lack of time, (oh.my.gosh. Summer is brutally busy right now) and also because I like to embrace the real factor. Pretty pictures are nice and all but I want honesty and transparency. Hope you do too!

Here’s a look at today’s garden!

Thank you for the garden tour. I hope to have raised beds in our backyard in the coming year. Your garden is an inspiration. Liked the photos of the cardinals and Traveler too.

Such a beautiful garden, thank you for the realness….I dont think you needed any touching up of photos….nature has its own way of showing beauty. It’s so relaxing to get to walk in the grden and see what surprises we have. I love finding volunteers and seeds tht pop up that I forgot about. My garden is always a work in progress… it is never done…but I like it like that.
