Remember the freeze pops of childhood? All red, orange, blue and yellow? Filled with food coloring and sugar, ready to hype up all the children all summer long?
Well, no more! Did you know that you can make your own freeze pops AND make them full of nutrients and good fats? The possibilities are endless!
I used these reusable plastic tubes. They’re full of …
Coconut milk (full fat is my new favorite!)
Spinach
Farm-made yogurt
Vanilla
Mango
And so many other things you can put in them! (Feel free to make these as popsicles too!)
I’m hosting a giveaway for a Wolf Gourmet High Speed Blender until 8/21/16! That’s what I used to whip up these delicious treats. Follow the link above to enter.
Back to the freeze pops … It takes a little getting used to the Zipsicle tubes. I used a small funnel to fill them and after the first couple it was easy. I love the idea that you can reuse them, not only for freeze pops, but also for snacks like trail mixes and granola.
Eating these pops are a little tricky because you can’t cut off the end. I let the pop warm up for about 5 minutes before trying to eat it. This way it allows the stuff inside to loosen from the tube.
All recipes are gluten-free, added sugar-free and can be made dairy-free if you use a non-dairy yogurt.
